Comics

As a writer, I strive to see my work developed across different mediums. Below, I’ve provided samples of comic scripts I hope to one day collaborate with an artist to become fully realized.

Comics

I think about saying “I love you” before I get a chance to do it. Before I finally hear her footsteps receding away from this steel and then go further into the woods.
Before these other footsteps find me shuffling through these stacked boxes. Before I’m surrounded by a swarm of cadets and their Lieutenant. Before she is gone.

Original Comics

Below, are samples of original webcomics/comics that I have scripted for their forthcoming release!

The Serpent’s Daughter

Humans and mythical creatures seem to coexist peacefully in this urban landscape, until one gorgon girl discovers a secret that lies beneath their city’s surface. Along with her group of companions, Ejo embarks on a journey to uncover the truth behind the disappearances of multiple myths in Reverie City while also withholding some truths about herself. “The Serpent’s Daughter” is a forthcoming New Adult urban fantasy webcomic written by Bria Strothers, art by Lucy Camacho.

Invisible Moons

Nina is totally NOT freaking out that the new drummer makes her heart thump. And Sage is absolutely NOT checking out her new band mate. Jam-packed with heart flutters, swooning sparkles and kick-ass punk melodies, INVISIBLE MOONS is an approximately 205-page upper YA contemporary Black queer romance graphic novel (OGN) set at a Connecticut university. INVISIBLE MOONS follows charismatic college senior and punk band front woman Nina as she recruits anxious drummer Sage for a last-ditch effort at the upcoming battle of the bands to honor her late mother’s legacy. INVISIBLE MOONS is a completed YA graphic novel proposal and script co-created with art by Lucy Camacho currently under submission.
